ARKY 603/531 - Paleoethnobotany: Plants, Sediments, Tools

This is a lab-based, practical course focusing on the specialized analysis of plant residue from sediments, plants and/or stone tools. Students will have hands-on experience working on phytolith/starch analysis of Stone Age lithics from excavations in the famous Olduvai Gorge (Tanzania), with the later potential for collaboration/co-authorship.
