ANTH 445 - Ecology and Behaviour of Small-Scale Human Societies - Winter 2024

Survey of the ethnographic record of small-scale societies from a biocultural and evolutionary perspective. Topics include energy systems, subsistence, social organization, learning, psychology, institutions, kinship structures, aggression and warfare, exchange, and interactions between state and non-state societies.
This course may not be repeated for credit.
