ANTH 343 - Militarism and Militarization - Fall 2014

Comparative global ethnographic survey of militarization processes. Examples will be drawn from contemporary and historical societies, with a particular emphasis on the wide variety of institutions and communities necessary to the production of violence, and on their relationship to the larger violence.
This course may not be repeated for credit.
