I am interested I the study of Plains Cree (nehiyaw) culture in Alberta, and the ties that many other First peoples in western Canada prior to contact. I have worked in museums. objects research and administered the Blackfoot repatriation. I like exploring repatriation, museums dialogue, culture and heritage policy. Lastly, I am interested decolonizing western perspectives about the Cree, and I would like to explore further critical race theory in Anthropology and methods in Cree -Nehiyaw- epistemologies and ontologies to understand colonialism in western and the impact it had on First peoples; or, continues to have. I enjoy archaeological field school but I am also exploring Cree oral histories in connection to landscape in southern Alberta.
I love doing bead work and I maintain many cultural practices (harvesting nuts, berries, and fur bearing animals) and the Cree arts- story telling, pow-wow. I participate in ceremony and have rich First Nations history, as I come from Little Hunter Band (Onchiminahos Band). From this I have conducted cultural and historical research.
I collective Native American portraits and I would like to curate an exhibition with my finds.
I participate in research initiatives through the University of Alberta- Objects research.
