Funding and awards

Submitted by Anonymous on Mon, 02/09/2015 - 3:37pm

At the Department of Anthropology and Archaeology, a comprehensive funding package is guaranteed for all MA students in years 1-2 ($21, 000 annually) and all PhD students in years 1-4 ($25, 000 annually). This is available for both Canadian and international graduate students.

When a student is awarded a major scholarship from outside of the University of Calgary, the university funding is modified to supplement the support provided by the external award.

International students receive partial tuition reimbursement.

Applicants are encouraged to apply to the Entrance Awards, application deadline is January 15th to the graduate program administrator.

Finally, a limited number of recruitment scholarships are available in addition to the above funding.

Speak to our graduate program administrator to learn more about receiving graduate funding.

* Please note: Students are expected to apply for all awards for which they are eligible.
