Thanks to donors like you, we are able to foster rich learning experiences and research opportunities for our students. In the last few years, some of the initiatives we have funded using donations from this program include: contributions towards our international and local field schools, our Archaeologist Consultant In Residence (ACIR) program, and updates to our archaeological and paleoanthropological collections.

There are a number of ways you can choose to support the Department of Anthropology and Archaeology. You can contribute to an existing scholarship fund, create a student award or bursary, donate in honour of a loved one or support us by leaving a gift in your will. Each and every donation makes a difference for the students and research you support.

Department of Anthropology and Archaeology 50th Anniversary Scholarship

In conjunction with the 50th anniversary of the University of Calgary, we are embarking on something special — our first-ever Campus Wide Giving Day. From April 27 to 29, the University will be working to create 50 new scholarships in 50 hours, in celebration of our 50th anniversary. Until the 29th, each donation up to a maximum of $2500 will be matched dollar for dollar by the University. Our Department of Anthropology and Archaeology 50th Anniversary Scholarship will be directed towards our majors. This is a one-time opportunity to double your impact and help relieve some of the financial burden for our majors. Our goal is to raise $2500 by April 29th. All donations of $25 and more will receive a tax receipt. After April 29th, the scholarship will continue to accept donations, as we want this to be ongoing, but they will not be matched by the University.
