I am a evolutionary anthropologist who focuses on the interaction between ecology, behavior, and genetics. My current research targets non-human primates but I have previously worked with a wide range of birds and mammals. I use a combination of  molecular genetic and field based data collection methods and analysis techniques to investigate the evolution of social behaviors. I am particularly interested in 1) how ecological and social conditions shape patterns of dispersal and social relationships, and 2) how these patterns affect health and fitness.
